Medical Examinations for Drivers

Periodic medical exams regulated by the Department of Transportation are available. The exam content includes physical examination, urinalysis and hearing evaluations.

Arrangements can be made for an entire division or fleet of employees to be examined on the same day or by individual appointments as schedules dictate.

Regulated Drug Testing & Related Services

Federal Department of Transportation regulations require random urine drug screening and breath alcohol testing for the transportation industry.

The Occupational Health Centers are affiliated with a SAMSHA (Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration) approved reference laboratory for drug testing. Breath alcohol testing is conducted on DOT approved equipment by certified Breath Alchol Technicians (BAT's).

Medical Review Officer (MRO) services are conducted with every test.

A careful and confidential collection and analysis of specimens is conducted with results provided to the employer as outlined in the Federal Regulations.

Urine drug screening and breath alcohol testing for pre-employment, random, post-accident, reasonable suspicion, return to duty and follow up testing can all be done through the Occupational Health Centers.

Consortium services, to assist in managing the random selection process and associated record keeping is also available to any size employers.

Supervisory and employee substance abuse recognition and training can be provided.

Drug Free Workplace Policy Development assistance available.
