Women’s healthcare needs are unique and require specialized attention.
At Beloit Health System, we offer full obstetrics and gynecological services.
Beloit Health System’s OB/GYN physicians see patients at the Beloit
Clinic in Beloit, Wisconsin, and at NorthPointe in Roscoe, Illinois. Our
highly specialized team provides gynecological care for women of all ages
– from obstetrics to peri and post-menopausal care.
Should I See an OB/GYN?
Women should protect their health through preventative means, which can
be done through a yearly health checkup. During an OB/GYN appointment,
you may undergo tests such as collecting lab specimens to check for certain
diseases. Your OB/GYN will choose which tests you need depending on your
age, overall health, and sexual history. You should book an appointment
to see your OB/GYN for pregnancy, menopause, or any reproductive or sexual
health needs.
OB/GYNS commonly treat female health concerns such as:
Abnormal vaginal bleeding
Pelvic pain
Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS)
Urinary incontinence
Endometriosis
Hormonal disorders
Infertility
Bacterial and viral sexually transmitted infections (STIs, also called STDs)
And more
Obstetrics & Family Care at Beloit Health System
The Packard Family Care Center offers many services including Labor and
Delivery, a level-II nursery, mother/baby care in our postpartum area,
and pediatrics. The Center is staffed with professional Obstetric and
Pediatric nurses who combine technology with the professional care that
is so important for women and children.
The Packard Family Care Center at Beloit Health System delivers approximately
600 newborns a year, most of them routine and predictable. However, situations
can arise where mom or newborn have a health concern, and this is where
additional expertise is especially needed. Tests such as the Pulse Oximetry,
which was recommended as a mandatory test by the Wisconsin Legislation,
