Sharon Cox named 2025 Nurse Executive of the Year

BELOIT, WI. (September 19, 2025) — Beloit Health System (BHS) is pleased to share that Sharon Cox, CNO, Vice President of Beloit Health System, has been named the 2025 Nurse Executive of the Year by the Wisconsin Organization of Nurse Leaders (WONL).

This award recognizes outstanding nurse executives who demonstrate excellence in leadership, promote the nursing profession and contribute to the advancement of health care in Wisconsin. Award criteria include creativity in nursing leadership, professional development, collaboration with colleagues across disciplines and active involvement in community and health care organizations.

In addition to her leadership at BHS, Cox has been an active member of the Wisconsin Organization of Nurse Leaders since 2011, serving as Treasurer since 2015.

The Wisconsin Organization of Nurse Leaders (WONL), an affiliate of the American Organization of Nurse Leaders, works to support and develop nurse leaders across the state. Each year, WONL honors outstanding Wisconsin nurse leaders with awards in three categories: the Rising Star, the Nurse Leader and the Nurse Executive.
