This Per Diem Youth Apprenticeship - Resident Aide is a Per Diem at Beloit Health System located in Beloit, WI. The Youth Apprentice will be involved in day-to-day tasks to support healthcare professionals, gain hands-on experience, and contribute to the overall patient care experience.
This Youth Apprenticeship - Resident Aide will provide key caregiving activities to residents in the facility. The Youth Apprenticeship- Resident Aide will use standard precautions and infection prevention controls, change linens, follow Individual Service Plans, assist residents with daily living activities including dressing, bathing, showering, personal hygiene, mobility assistance and transfers, assist with use and care of ADL devices
Qualifications
  • Must be a current High School Student, 16 years of age or older
  • Youth Apprentices work in WI at a Community Based Residential Facility (CBRF) must complete the required WI DHS training but are not required to pass the CNA exam.
  • Interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Interest in pursuing a career in healthcare
  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a healthcare environment
  • Basic understanding of medical terminology helpful
