We have an immediate need for an EVS Lead to join our Team!
This position will:
Be responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary and attractive hospital
environment
Oversee EVS Technicians and EVS Specialists to ensure that work is completed
timely and according to policy
Supervise floor care, carpet cleaning, patient discharge room cleaning,
cleaning of windows, wells, ceiling and fixtures, changing cubicle curtains,
transport soiled textiles and waste and manage recyclables, respond to
EVS issues on 2nd and 3rd shifts and ensure waste cars and equipment are
returned clean and ready for use.
Assist with supply and equipment selection, employee scheduling and performance
evaluations
Special Qualifications:
Must demonstrate strong knowledge of EVS operations, infection prevention,
and chemical safety
Ability to lead and support staff, adhere to hospital policies, effectively
communicate, demonstrate professionalism and confidentiality, and have
strong time management and organizational skills
Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, prolonged
standing, and working with cleaning chemicals, bodily fluids and in potentially
stressful or irregular work conditions.
Preferred:
High school diploma or equivalent
Previous experience in Environmental Services, including floor care and
chemical handling
