Qualifications: Seeking Full-time PA-C or ANP within the Occupational Health/Ortho Walk-in.
Expected work hours – Monday to Thursday 0800-1900/ Friday 0800 to 1700 and Saturday 0800 to 1200 (provider rotation). No call responsibilities and No call back.

- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to interact in a positive manner with patients of diverse backgrounds – cultural and economic. Occ Health sees patients who are executives at companies and entry level workers.
- Dedicated to being a lifelong learner both professionally and personally.
- Flexible – the Occupational Health program sees walk in patients and the schedule can change based on walk ins or health system employee injuries.
Clinical Skills:
- Exhibits confidence in clinic setting
- Ability to manage typical workplace injuries:
Musculoskeletal – sprains/strains/fractures (identify and referral appropriate for fx,)
Minor burns,
Minor lacerations,
Concussion,
Foreign body in eye,
Contusions,
Respiratory Programs/screening,
Physicals,
DOT physicals (willingness to be certified if not already),
Understanding of hearing protection programs,
Vision protection/screening programs,
- Ability to do minor sutures
- Ability to identify when referrals are needed and to make referrals
- Ability to delegate appropriately to Nursing and MA staff
- Understanding of productivity needs and expectations
- Understanding of chronic diseases and impact on employee health:
Asthma,
HTN,
Diabetes,
Heart disease,
Obesity,
COPD,
Mental Health,
Substance abuse,
- OSHA guidelines regulation (willingness to learn)
- Employee exposures (body fluids)
- Employee exposures (chemical)
- Heat/Cold related illnesses and injuries
- Management of acute illnesses:
Strep throat,
Common cold,
Pink eye,
UTI,
Flu,
COVID
