    • Have an illness, chronic disease or are recovering from an accident or surgery
    • Are in need of physical, occupational, or speech therapy

Skilled Nursing

Registered nurses work with your physician to create a plan of care for you at home to help in your recovery. The nurse teaches you, or your caregiver, how to give the care you need, such as managing your colostomy or Foley catheter, changing your dressings, or giving IV therapy and other medications or treatments. A nurse is on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Therapy Services

Physical, Occupational, and/or Speech therapy may be ordered by your physician to improve your ability to function safely in your home. An Occupational or Physical therapist teaches you exercises to help you gain strength and balance as well as improve your mobility. Your physician may order Speech therapy if you have trouble speaking and/or swallowing, caused by stroke or other nervous system process.

Social Work

Sometimes patients have trouble managing the stress of a chronic illness or a life-changing medical event. A social worker can meet with you and your family/caregiver to help you connect to community resources, including financial support to help you manage at home.

If the need arises that you just cannot stay in your home, a social worker can help you find a living arrangement where you can feel safe and comfortable and receive excellent support and care.

Home Health Aides

A certified nursing assistant (CNA) provides help with grooming, bathing, and dressing. The home health aide may also help you work on improving your ability to move as directed by the Registered Nurse or Therapist.

Payment for Home Care

Your services from At-Home Healthcare may be covered by Medicare, Medicaid, private insurance or personal payments. Insurance coverage varies according to your situations, and we can help you learn what your insurance covers.
