Sharon Cox, VP of Nursing Receives Inaugural Circle of Leadership Award from the Stateline Community Foundation

On Thursday, June 22, 2023, Sharon Cox, Vice President of Nursing, received the inaugural Circle of Leadership Award for early childhood brain development presented by the Stateline Community Foundation. “Your leadership and understanding of the importance of early childhood brain development epitomizes what we have all been working to achieve!” Tara Tinder, Community Stateline Foundation Executive Director.

The Build a Brain, Build a Life, Build a Community program was introduced to Beloit Health System in 2021. The program is designed to help teach new parents the importance of early childhood development. Each new parent is given a “Brain Bag” post delivery with materials on how to stimulate the child’s brain. They also watch a video that provides strategies to help with brain development.
