Beloit Health System has an Immediate
Surgical Assistant.
The
Surgical Assistant is responsible for assisting in surgery by providing exposure in surgical
site. This Surgical Assistant will use instrumentation, suturing, and
prepare for hemostasis in an anticipatory manner under direct supervision
of surgeon. The Surgical Assistant will participate in room set-up by
ensuring all required supplies, equipment, and instrumentation are available
for procedure. The successful candidate will demonstrate flexibility and
independent prioritization. This Surgical Assistant will proactively assist
others with minimal supervision (case pulling, maintaining supplies, and
surgical environment)
Required:
Must be a graduate of an accredited surgical first assistant program with
completion of Certification
Must be available for on call requirements
BLS required within 6 months of hire
Previous experience is helpful, but willing to train the right candidate
Adherence to policies, procedures, and guidelines set forth in the department
and hospital
