The MRI Technologist care for patients while operating equipment to produce high quality images for radiologist interpretation.
Responsibility includes:
- EMR-PACS navigation, general patient care, positioning patients, providing procedure information and executing proper imaging protocol/technique for all examinations.
- Complies with all regulatory requirements in providing safe and appropriate care.
Required:
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT(R)) registered.
- Advanced certification in MRI one year after hire if not currently registered.
- Maintains Basic Life support certification.
- Two years radiography experience.
- One-year MRI experience.
- Interpersonal skills necessary to interact effectively with patients who maybe be under physical and/or emotional stress in order to gather and exchange routine patient information with peers, nursing, radiologist and provide.
