Certified Ophthalmic Assistant

Beloit Health System has an immediate Certified Ophthalmic Assistant /Certified Ophthalmic Technician position available at Beloit Clinic.

The Certified Ophthalmic Assistant /Certified Ophthalmic Technician will participate in the care and treatment of eye care patients. This position will care for patients of all ages including both children and adults. This position will assist the provider with exams, document patient history and symptoms, as well as administering testing. The COA/COT may also act as a Scribe and provide patient education.

Other duties may include:

  • Assisting with minor surgical procedures in office
  • Maintain and ordering supplies
  • Completing medication refills
  • Responding to patient concerns and questions

For this position we require:

  • Certification as an Ophthalmic Assistant or Ophthalmic Technician preferred, but willing to train
  • 2 years of experience working in Ophthalmology
  • Strong communication skills

Shift: 1
Hours: 80/PP
