Immediate Opening: Outpatient Coder – Health Information Management

This position will:
- Responsible for providing accurate diagnostic and procedural codes (ICD-10-CM, CPT-4 and HCPCS) of outpatient and office visit encounters for billing purposes, as well as for collection and retrieval of statistical data
- Responsible for accurately abstracting information from the patient’s medical records
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- If not certified, certification must be obtained within one year of hire
Preferred:
- Coding education courses

CPC, CCA, CCS or other equivalent coding certification
- If not certified, certification must be obtained within one year of hire
- 1 year of previous coding, specifically in E/M and Risk Adjusted Coding
