Job Summary
Responsible for the management of the Raiser’s Edge fundraising database including donors, prospects and other community and/or organizational records. The position also supports the planning and implementation of fundraising appeals and events. The Foundation Assistant reports directly to the Executive Director of Foundation, Marketing and Community Relations. The Executive Director of Hospice and Palliative Care assists in overseeing the work responsibilities for this position. The Foundation Assistant supports gift development and constituent relations. This is a full time position.
Essential Job Duties
Manage Raiser’s Edge software and filing systems.
Prepare donor acknowledgement and family gift notifications, as well as greet donors in the office. (Hospice)
Assist with planning, promotion, and implementation of organizational events, including coordination of fundraising event volunteer support.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.
Strong Computer Skills, experience in database management a plus.
Experience in Community Services, nonprofit sector, and/or a volunteer-based organization is essential.
Strong organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize, work under pressure, juggle multiple tasks, organize time effectively to meet deadlines.
Excellent research, data gathering and writing skills required; grant writing experience a plus.
Ability to work independently in a group setting.
Ability to handle stress in meeting deadlines.
Interacts in a positive, responsive, cooperative manner with patients, families and other hospice team members.
Maintains confidentiality related to Beloit Regional Hospice.
